Through Flow, Not Force
Idle Time | July 2026
Some chapters aren’t defined by milestones or breakthroughs, but by a quiet shift in perspective.
Lately, I’ve found myself less concerned with where I’m headed and more present with where I am. This piece came from that.
Can’t complain about the hand—
just got to play the cards I’m dealt.
Can’t keep playing by the rules
if they’re throwing blows beneath the belt.
If only you knew how I felt.
Diary of a workhorse.
Another cog on the conveyor belt—
one that doesn’t bring the machine to a halt with its departure,
only embossing how replaceable I felt.
I tried to make plans to live,
but they weren’t suited for this chapter.
So what is, I wonder?
Do I spend the remainder of the year in quiet desperation,
monitoring the growing stack of untouched projects
that remain in this so-called pipeline
labelled Tomorrow,
knowing deep down that all of it is borrowed?
I heard once that you should die empty—
not weighed down by regrets,
or ideas and visions that never found their way into the world.
Even if it’s through someone else’s hands,
there’s something beautiful about watching your sketches,
mock-ups, and blueprints
become manifest.
I’m detached from the idea of legacy.
I’ll pay my dues and bide my time
until it’s my moment to embrace the curtain call—
no uproar,
no requiems,
just flatlines.
Simply another entry
in my internet archive.
But it’s weird.
Lately, there’s been a particular stillness to my mind.
A state of flow, perhaps.
Or maybe I’ve simply stopped tying myself
to the outcomes of encounters,
chapters,
or events.
Maybe I’m finally enjoying the journey
for what it is:
Transient.
Unbound.
There’s no perfect adjective,
no fitting noun.
But alas—
I stand proud.
I’ve finally found level ground.
Not externally,
but internally.
I now embody all that I sought.
Through flow,
not force.

Loved this one so much!
I feel like you’re trying to kill epileptics with that cover gif😂
